Physical Properties:

Lightweight: Weighing only half as much as glass, it is easier and less labor-intensive to handle and install, saving costs associated with transportation, unloading, installation, and support frames. It is particularly suitable for tall buildings with strict weight requirements or locations with limited structural load-bearing capacity.

High Strength: Featuring a honeycomb core of interconnected six-sided columns, resembling countless I-beams, the core layers are distributed and fixed throughout the entire panel, making the panel more stable and resistant to bending and compression. Its wind pressure resistance significantly surpasses that of ordinary double-layer hollow panels.

Good Temperature Adaptability: PC panels do not become brittle at -40℃ and do not soften at 125℃. Their mechanical properties remain largely unchanged even in harsh environments, adapting to various climatic conditions.

Optical Properties:

Good Light Transmittance: PC honeycomb panels boast a light transmittance of up to 89%, comparable to glass. Colorless and transparent PC honeycomb panels offer excellent transparency and surface gloss, while colored panels block the strongest sunlight, softening the transmitted light. UV Protection: One side of the PC board is co-extruded with an anti-UV (UV) coating, while the other side has an anti-condensation treatment. It combines UV protection, heat insulation, and anti-fogging functions, blocking UV rays from passing through and effectively protecting valuable artworks and exhibits from UV damage, while also extending the lifespan of the board itself.

Safety Performance:

Impact Resistance: Its impact strength is 250-300 times that of ordinary glass, 30 times that of acrylic sheets of the same thickness, and 2-20 times that of tempered glass. It will not crack even if dropped from two meters with a 3kg hammer. It is known as "unbreakable glass" and "sounding steel," and is not easily shattered by external impact, effectively preventing personal injury and property damage caused by broken glass.

Good Flame Retardancy: It is classified as Class B1 (fire-retardant). The PC board's self-ignition point is 580℃. It is self-extinguishing after being removed from the flame. It does not produce toxic gases during combustion and does not contribute to the spread of fire, exhibiting good fire resistance and improving building safety.

In terms of acoustic performance: It offers significant sound insulation, providing better acoustic insulation than glass and acrylic sheets of the same thickness. Under the same thickness conditions, PC honeycomb panels offer 5-9 dB higher sound insulation than glass, making it one of the preferred materials for highway sound barriers internationally.

Other features: Excellent energy efficiency: It has a lower thermal conductivity (K-value) than ordinary glass and other plastics, providing 7%-25% better heat insulation than equivalent glass, with a maximum insulation of up to 49%. It keeps things cool in summer and warm in winter, significantly reducing heat loss. It is an environmentally friendly material suitable for buildings with heating systems.

Anti-condensation: When the outdoor temperature is 0℃, the indoor temperature is 23℃, and the indoor relative humidity is below 80%, condensation will not form on the inner surface of the material. This effectively avoids dampness and mold problems caused by condensation, maintaining a dry and comfortable indoor environment.

High flexibility: It can be cold-bent on-site according to design drawings to form arches, semi-circular roofs, and windows. The minimum bending radius is 175 times the thickness of the sheet. It can also be hot-bent, facilitating various design and installation.

High weather resistance: It can maintain the stability of various physical properties within a temperature range of -40℃ to 120℃. After 4000 hours of artificial climate aging test, the yellowing index is 2, and the light transmittance reduction is only 0.6%. It has good weather resistance and can be used outdoors for a long time without aging, discoloration, or performance degradation.
